When visiting Iceland in summer I took advantage of the very long days and decided to do something you just can't do anywhere else, go for a walk on the beach at midnight all alone for a couple hours.

It was one of the most sureal times I had walking for ages all alone just with the sand and sea ... and a seal who turned up too.

These images are taken at Rauðisandur Beach just after sunset (around half 11 - half 12 at night)

I really like the cross between the dark bluey greeny water and the sand and also the weird patterns from the shallow water washing over the sand to form almost rythmic patterns, it's just so unusal even by my standards
